How to fix Stick EMI 1 error on DJI Mavic Pro?

If you experience this “Stick EMI 1” error (electro magnetic interference) on your remote of your DJI drone, then this article is for you. Many people experience the “Stick EMI 1” on their Mavic or Mavic Pro drone. DJI Support usually recommends to upgrade the firmware, calibrate the the gimbal etc. etc. But what do you do if nothing works? Some people even replaced their drone because they weren’t able to fix this issue.

When you connect your mobile to the DJI remote, it will display the following error:

Electromagnetic interference at sticks. The remote controller may fail to provide control. Fly in a place with less interference.

After some research on the DJI forum, I came across a very simple solution:

SOLUTION: Move a small fridge magnet around the sticks and the back of the remote.

If you don’t have a magnet with you, try to switch your phone into airplane mode and see if this already resolves the problem.
